The activities are designed to suit children five years old or younger and all skill levels, and most of all to ensure your little ones have a good time learning, playing and exploring new and exciting things. Each week there is a new activity to keep your tots entertained, which feature activities such as; dancing around to all-time favourite fairy tales, jump around like frogs, throw things and run around in athletics workshops (they’ll be sure to sleep after this one!), colourful sand craft workshops where they can unleash their creativity, unwind with the Brisbane City Council Libraries Storytime sessions with stories, rhymes and songs and much more!
Bookings are not required for any of these activities, simply arrive on the day and have a great time while your kids are busy making friends and learning and playing in a fun, friendly environment. There is no obligation to stay for the whole time either, you are welcome to come and go as you please. Little Farmers Day Out, presented by Visit Scenic Rim, will take place at Regional Flavours this year, and is a must-attend event for all little foodies. Held at South Bank Parklands on the 15th & 16th of July, Regional Flavours, presented by The Courier-Mail, is Brisbane’s free food and wine festival which features a range of fresh, local produce spread across 80 stalls, live cooking demonstrations from some of Australia’s most well-known celebrity chefs, an exquisite range of wine tasting from some of Queensland’s best wines, but best of all, there’s something to keep your little ones entertained as well.
Little Farmers Day Out kicks off from 10am–5pm and provides a range of hands-on, fun and engaging activities that are designed to teach kids about the importance of sustainable farming, and how to have fun while doing it. At Epicurious Garden, children will have the opportunity to decorate small, biodegradable pots which they can sow a carrot seed in to take home. Let their creativity run wild at the Central Café Lawns where they can make their very own wearable art creation. Inspired by the animals and produce found on the Scenic Rim farms, they will enjoy putting together their own crown to take home. This fun activity will also help teach the kids about the fresh produce that comes straight from the farm. For more information, visit regionalflavours.com.au
