School-aged students from grades 3 to 12 are invited to register to take part in a large interactive art installation entitled Pixel Mosaic developed by Sunshine Coast digital artist Mic Black.
Pixel Mosaic will be one of the installations of the Digital Disruption exhibition which is coming to Caloundra Regional Gallery from January 29 to March 25, 2015..
Pixel Mosaic will feature the work of hundreds of school-aged students from across the local region. Using an online app the students will express themselves with a sequence of colours to create their own physical LED tile. Each tile in the mosaic represents the thoughts and expressions of each student. The final installation will be a life-size ever-changing mosaic which reacts to viewers that walk past the installation in Caloundra Regional Gallery.
Registrations are now open and numbers are limited so if your child is interested, register at www.pixelmosaic.com.au.
Caloundra Regional Gallery is owned and operated by Sunshine Coast Council. Located at 22 Omrah Avenue, the Gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm.
