THINGS TO DO: We’re All Smurfs Exhibition Comes to Hyperdome

08 September 2017

Enter the world of the Smurfs as the classic cartoon and comic strip created by Belgium artist Peyo, comes to Hyperdome, Loganholme, from Thursday 7 September to Sunday 01 October.

Led by Papa Smurf, Hyperdome will be transformed into a life-sized Smurf village complete with mushroom houses and over 30 Smurfs on display. Take a walk through the village as your favourite Smurfs go about their daily lives and don’t miss the photo ops along the way! Papa Smurf will be paying a visit to his village daily from September 16th between 11am and 2pm to spread Smurf harmony and happiness, giving away free hugs to shoppers.

The exhibition continues throughout the centre with two galleries featuring Smurf drawings and comic strips allowing old-school fans to revisit the evolution of The Smurfs throughout the years.

For the kids, there will be the opportunity to join Smurf School in The Food Court where their creative skills will be put to the test with a different interactive craft activity each week including creating and decorating Smurf frisbees and backpacks to take home as a memento of their experience.

If that’s not enough, on September 7, 9, 10 & 12 The Market Room will play host to Smurf cupcake and cookie decorating. PLUS, you won’t be able to miss the giant 4-metre Smurf on display in Centre Court, standing next to it will make you feel as small as the little blue characters themselves!
