Peregian Golf Course is now open – and it’s now easier to let your kids try their hand at hitting the ball.

The venue is not a private club, which means that members of the public can book a round of golf whenever they like, with tee times available every day of the week. The full-length driving range is a great introduction to golf for kids. The only dress regulations are no thongs and no singlets. A small bucket of 35 balls costs just $7, with club hire from $5.

If they want to play a round of golf, a Junior pass (under 18 years), costs $34.50 for 18 holes, or $22.50 for nine holes. If they enjoy it, they can upgrade to a yearly pass for $345. Adult rates start at $45 for nine holes and a Total Access Pass for a year is $2,295.

There is also kids coaching available, led by head coach Craig Goodall, an Australian and British PGA Member with over 20 years’ experience in the golf industry. A 10 week Junior Clinic costs $140 for a 45-minute lesson each week and school holiday camps are also available. One-on-one coaching for juniors costs $40 for 30 minutes. For more details, call Craig on 0400 004 336 or email cgoodall@peregiangolf.com.au.
