Behind the doors at Bella Grace Early Learning

Choosing a childcare centre that is right for your child and your family is one of the bigger decisions you will make as a parent. We go behind the doors at Bella Grace Early Learning to find out what makes this service so popular with Sunshine Coast families.

The mission at Bella Grace is simple: to provide a higher level of education and care for the children in their community. And their Kindergarten programs are always planned with this mission in mind.

“We believe that children learn best when they feel valued and respected,” says Kristy Griffiths, Beerwah Director & Nominated Supervisor at Bella Grace Early Learning.

“Using a play-based approach to learning, each service builds individual programs that cater for their children’s current interests, strengths and developmental needs. Then using these interests, educators build a curriculum based inclusive of the QKLG with a focus on literacy, numeracy, science and technology.”

The Kindergarten programs also introduce children to life skills through daily routines, and each service develops and embeds sustainable practices that are community specific. “By intentionally fostering these needs, we are preparing children to be active members of a greener community and reduce our carbon footprint,” Kristy explains.

Children are provided with meals with an intent to help achieve optimum health and wellbeing, Kristy continues. “As a service, we promote a Healthy Growth program to build a solid foundation for positive eating habits through high quality, fresh and nutritious, tasty child-friendly foods.”

Collaboration in the community

Easing the transition into Prep, Bella Grace works collaboratively with the local schools to ensure strong relationships are fostered to prepare the children and families for primary education.

“Our Early childhood professionals in preparation for school readiness, build inclusive environments that are rich with natural resources, promoting inquiry, critical thinking, wellbeing, and sense of connectedness to diversity.”

Building strong relationships with the greater community, Bella Grace also works in partnership with services to provide extracurricular activities to all Kindergartens.

“Our current programs consist of Billy Buddies football, multicultural language lessons, Yoga, Ginger Sports soccer, Wildlife HQ travelling zoo, Prestige School of Dance and excursions to our wider community network.”
