Book Week arrives at Robina Town Centre with Indigenous story-telling, creative craft workshops and more!
Robina Town Centre’s magical reading tree returns with local story-tellers, interactive crafts, plus the tree will play host to an adorable teddy bear’s picnic – all designed to engage and inspire young readers as part of this year’s Book Week celebrations from Friday 16th – Saturday 23rd August.
“Reading is Magic” is the National Book Week theme, and children are invited to dress-up up as their favourite story book characters, settle-in on bean bags and cushions sprinkled under the branches of the twinkling magical reading tree, and listen and learn from inspiring storytellers who will share the art of reading, language and craft.
Indigenous Reading & Craft
Join Uncle Allan, Elder and Traditional Owner and Custodian of the Bundjalung and Yuggara Nations, for a book reading and craft!
Craft Workshops
Kids can design their own book bag or create a magic wand to celebrate Book Week!
Story Rhyme Time
Fairy Ani has fluttered over from Event Cinemas to the magical tree for a special Book Week edition of Story Rhyme Time!
Teddy Bear Picnic
Kids can bring along their favourite teddy bear and enjoy stories, snacks and games under the magical Book Week tree!
