Queensland Air Museum’s Civil Aviation and Getting Your Wings Event is on Saturday 29 June 2024.
A great opportunity to get up close and personal with their civil aircraft, which are rarely open to the public.
Not only will Australia’s oldest DC 3 be open but be one of the first to view their newly refurbished and rare Beechcraft 2000A Starship, and their Cessna 402A. Have a walk through their unusual Fokker Friendship F27 Combi and sit in their Piper Aztec. Hear the stories from their guides, many whom are former commercial airline pilots, and hear how their crew restored these wonderful aircraft.
Talk to the many flight training schools who will be present with their displays to learn how to obtain your own private or commercial pilot’s licence.
There will be food, coffee and ice cream vans on site, plus much more.
