Kids activity: Become a secret soldier
About the Event
The War on our shores exhibition commemorates 75 years since the end of World War II, exploring the important role that Bribie Island played in defending Queensland.
American and Australian troops were based on Bribie Island during the war training and developing their skills. What was it like? What did they eat? How did they communicate?
Kids visiting the museum can take home a Top Secret Mission Kit to learn about the life of soldiers and medical personnel during WWII.
Learn Morse code, whip up your own soldier rations from the ration recipes file and become a master at recognising friendly planes from enemy ones.
