What started as a candlelight march in support of refugees and asylum seekers in 2007 has grown to become Queensland’s largest welcoming event at South Bank.
This year the LUMUNIOUS Lantern Festival and MOSAIC Multicultural Festival have been combined to create the largest multicultural event in Queensland’s history.
Hosted on Saturday 3 August at South Bank Parklands, LUMINOUS Festival will kick off Queensland Multicultural Month with a showcase of our growing cultural diversity at Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct.
LUMINOUS celebrates the cultural diversity of our local community with food and performances from around the world, culminating in the incredible LUMINOUS Lantern Parade through South Bank Parklands.
