Meet the Mangroves

Get ready for a fun filled morning learning to easily identify many of the mangrove species of Southeast Queensland and the amazing gifts they share with us.
Walk along the Maroochy Wetlands boardwalk and have a hands-on experience – you’ll be licking leaves, spotting crabs and exploring the amazing adaptations these rainforest trees have to be able to live in the salty tidal water!
After that adventure you will wind down and reflect through a botanical illustration exercise, drawing what you have learnt and the natural beauty you have been immersed in.
Suitable for children aged 5+
