Australia Day is a time for all Australians to reflect, respect and celebrate.
The best way to reflect, respect and celebrate is to do something Australian – get together with family and friends or go to a local Australia Day event.
The pandemic has tested out national character, but as Australians we are resilient and roll up our sleeves and help others to overcome any challenges.
This year, City of Gold Coast is hosting the Gold Coast Australia Day Celebrations on Wednesday 26 January at Broadwater Parklands, Southport.
This alcohol-free, family friendly free event kicks off at 4pm and concludes at 7.30pm.
Spend the day relaxing then head to the Broadwater Parklands from 4pm and fill up from the all-nations food truck feast then grab a spot on the lawn for the spectacular 15-minute fireworks finale at approximately 7.15pm.
102.9 Hot Tomato’s Moyra & Big Trev will be broadcasting live from the main stage.
Getting there: Catch the HOPO Ferry or G:link to Broadwater Parklands or make your journey active and walk, ride, scoot or skate to the event.
Being COVID Safe is a shared responsibility. Keep physical distancing, wear a mask when needed, practice good hygiene and stay at home if you’re unwell.
City of Gold Coast’s Australia Day Celebrations are proudly supported by 102.9 Hot Tomato.
