DESCRIPTION:Sunshine Coast Council is supporting four fireworks displays at three locations this New Year’s Eve – Coolum at 8.30pm\, Caloundra at 9.30pm and Mooloolaba at 8.30pm and midnight. \nDue to the Mooloolaba revitalisation project construction works along Mooloolaba Esplanade\, the 8.30pm and midnight fireworks displays will be fired from an offshore barge in front of the HMAS Brisbane Lookout. \nYou can enjoy great views from Maroochydore Beach in the north\, to Point Cartwright in the south and Council is encouraging visitors to choose their own adventure. \nPack a picnic to enjoy the display along the coastline\, or book into your favourite restaurant or cruise. \nThere will be light family friendly entertainment and roving performers at the HMAS Brisbane Lookout\, Northern Parklands and along Beach Terrace from 5pm – midnight. \nFood Trucks will be located at HMAS lookout\, Beach Terrace and Mooloolaba Esplanade. \nFIND OUT MORE

DESCRIPTION:Usher in the new year with a kaleidoscope of colour at The Lord Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks. \nHeld at South Bank Parklands the evening features two free fireworks shows\, 7:45pm and midnight. \nThe best viewing locations are Clem Jones Promenade\, the Cultural Forecourt\, Riverside Green and River Quay. \nSouth Bank retailers will be open with takeaway food and there will be food vendors on the Cultural Forecourt. You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages into the Parklands. Prohibited items include metal cutlery and other sharp items\, drink bottles and unsealed lids (including bottles of water or soft drink)\, scooters\, bikes\, pets\, glass\, marquees and any large portable structures. \nSouth Bank Parklands will be an alcohol-free site on the day. DESCRIPTION:Ipswich residents are encouraged to turn their heads towards the sky this New Year’s Eve! \nFireworks will launch across the region at 9.00 pm in Springfield Central\, South Ripley\, Ipswich Central\, Rosewood and Goodna. \nThe Springfield Central\, South Ripley\, Ipswich Central and Rosewood fireworks locations have been chosen strategically in central locations with some residents can view the displays from their home backyards or in large\, open public spaces nearby. \nSpringfield Central residents\, look for a clear line of sight in the skies above the Springfield Central Sports Complex.  Best public viewing locations are Ovals C\, D\, E\, F\, G and H at the Springfield Central Sporting Complex – Sportstar Drive\, Springfield Central.  Please note: there are no associated events alongside the fireworks display. \nSouth Ripley residents\, look for a clear line of sight in the skies above Ironbark Park. In a true Aussie twist\, Santa will swap his sleigh for surf\, arriving by Surf Boat at approximately 5:30pm thanks to the skilled Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club (MSLSC) Boaties. \nFamilies are invited to line the shore and welcome Santa as he steps out of the surf with a sack full of sweet treats from CTC Australia for the kids. Santa will stay for photos\, high-fives and Christmas cheer before a spectacular fireworks display lights up the sky at 7:15pm\, launching his journey around the world. \nNow in its 61st year\, this free community tradition is proudly hosted by the volunteers of Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club and has become a much-loved part of Christmas on the Sunshine Coast for locals and visitors alike. \n
