Green Heart Fair 2022

Brisbane’s favourite sustainable living festival, the Green Heart Fair, will be held on Sunday, 29 May 2022 at Victoria Park in Herston.

The Green Heart Fair has become an important event for residents to learn more about sustainability and how to take simple steps at home to live more eco-friendly and lower household expenses.

Green Heart Fair highlights:

• 3000 free native plants for Brisbane residents, given away on a first-in, first-served basis.
• Learn how to create a green home and garden with all-day sessions from sustainability experts including Green Living Australia and Bee One Third, who will show you how to keep bees at home.
• Keep the little ones entertained with free Dirt Girl shows, Water Warriors performances and kids’ activities. Kids can enjoy craft workshops, nature play and giant games, all for free.
• Be inspired to reduce your waste at home. The Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Zone highlights ways to reduce waste for a more sustainable life.
• Visit the Resilient Home Zone dedicated to flood resilience, showcasing some simple cost-effective ways to help households weather future storms.
• See the stars with Channel 7 Queensland’s, Kendall Gilding, hosting the festival.
• Get a selfie with Gracie the Tree Frog Mascot.
• Visit the Move for Less Zone to learn more about sustainable travel.
• Reduce your fashion footprint and pick up some preloved clothing from Yesterday’s Thrift shops popup in the Sustainable Shopping Zone.
• Enjoy delicious food from Brisbane’s favourite food trucks. There will be more plant-based and gluten free options to cater for all kinds of foodies.
