Tamborine Mountain College is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational for pre-Prep to Year 12. It is the school’s belief that every child has the right to experience the joy and wonder of learning. Its goal is to instil in its students a love of learning that will stay with them for life.
The school prides itself on offering quality, affordable education. There are two classes for each year level, with capped student numbers. Teachers and staff have a close bond with the students attending the school.

The Exceeding-rated Early Learning Centre aims to ensure that the children have a safe and nurturing environment to develop all the skills essential for a smooth transition to Prep. The Centre’s philosophy is play-based and uses the children’s interests to structure intentional learning experiences. Educators develop the whole child, embracing learning through discovery, real life engagement routines and transitions.
The teachers and educators are patient, understanding, experienced and above all, dedicated to making the children’s learning experiences inviting and purposeful.
The pre-Prep program is an Approved Kindergarten Program, following the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. The program is led by a degree-qualified Early Childhood Teacher.
The Kindy program follows the Early Years Learning Framework and led by a diploma-trained Educator.
Tamborine Mountain College’s educational philosophy ensures there is a strong emphasis on modern, innovative teaching programs based upon traditional values.
The College Primary campus adheres to the Australian Curriculum and Early Years Curriculum Guidelines. Students learn English, Mathematics, Science, History and the Social Sciences, Digital Technology, Health and Physical Education, the Arts and French Culture and Language.
Tamborine Mountain College has an excellent reputation in academics and most graduating students elect to continue their studies at tertiary level. As a valued partner of universities such as Griffith University, Bond University, Southern Cross Queensland and many others, the College students benefit from university scholarships and early entry guarantee.
Graduating students have been recipients of the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship to Griffith University. They have also received The Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship and the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship to Bond University.
