St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School is an independent school for day students and boarders, and provides for the education of girls from Pre-Prep to Year 12 and boys in Pre-Prep and Prep, with boarding from Year 5.
A local school with a global outlook, St Margaret’s is committed to nurturing and empowering young women, preparing them to thrive as confident global citizens.
Located in a safe and secure enclave in Brisbane’s inner north, St Margaret’s draws students from all over Brisbane and along the east coast. As a boarding school, the school is also home to 170 boarders who hail from diverse backgrounds - from the outback to overseas. The boarders bring a wonderful diversity to the school population, creating a unique sense of community and enhanced cultural awareness.
The school’s smaller size (under 1000 students) is its greatest strength, enabling a personalised approach to learning that gives each student the chance to shine in their own way. A broad, balanced and flexible curriculum ensures students can explore a range of interests and disciplines, laying a strong foundation for future success.
St Margaret’s offers a variety of international learning opportunities, both in the classroom and beyond. Primary students can participate in a cultural trip to Japan, while the school’s unique Global Exchange Program offers Year 10 students the chance to study for a term in one of ten schools worldwide. Other opportunities include cultural and language trips, music tours and philanthropic ventures.
St Margaret’s students graduate as confident, compassionate, capable women able to contribute in a global community.
