Like all schools, St Rita's aims to equip its students with skills to enter any study or employment field of choice, with the underpinning principle that all girls should be given the opportunities to develop to their full potential and take their place proudly in our globalised world.
St Rita’s promotes the concept of Action, not Words. Mrs Dale Morrow, Principal of St Rita's, commented that "as a Catholic educator, I am involved in a very special vocation which affords me the privilege of helping to shape the lives of young women. I take this responsibility very seriously. To see, hear and feel the energy of an engaged classroom – a classroom that has come about because students are involved and inspired – is the type of classroom St Rita’s is delivering to its students."
Drilling down to the uniqueness in each individual and tapping into their creative thought are powerful tools for learning. St Rita's challenges its students to be Women of Action not just words – Virtute non Verbis. This philosophy has underpinned the education of St Rita’s College for more than 90 years, producing women who continue to lead and contribute to civil, economic, political, academic, social and cultural pursuits.
The St Rita’s College Open Day will be held on Sunday 28 July, 10:00am to 12:30pm. Visit www.stritas.qld.edu.au to register.
