From Saturday 26 June to Sunday 11 July, kids will receive an activity booklet and the Aquarium’s marine experts will take guests on a deep dive into the form and function of sea creatures’ body parts at an artefacts station from 9am – 2pm. Learn about the sharp teeth of the creepy-looking moray eel, which has a hidden set of jaws to help swallow prey! Find out how seals use their carnivore-like teeth to eat their prey.

Celebrate NAIDOC week 2021 at the First Nations School Holiday Program on Friday 2 July from 10am to 2pm. A free, fun, hands-on and educational day where children will learn stories of our local First Nations groups. Enjoy ochre painting, learn First Nations dances as well as other games and activities. Food vans and refreshments available on site or pack a picnic lunch.

Queensland Garden Expo is a great day out for all the family and there are lots of activities for budding gardeners.

There will be a fab kids’ playground with giant slide, tea cup ride and jumping castle. This is all totally free and runs for the duration of the event. Head to the Kids Garden Patch for craft activities and a veggie dig, and you’ll also find a kids potting area and sandpit for kids to explore.

Don’t forget kids 15 and under are FREE!
