Family fun at Aura's first shopping centre

Celebrate the opening of Stockland Baringa, Aura’s first shopping centre on Saturday 31st August, on Edwards Terrace in Baringa with a flagship Whites Supa IGA Baringa, and 13 specialty shops.

Bring the whole family for a day full of entertainment, food, and kids activities as you explore the new centre. Kicking off at 8:30am, the day will be full of cooking demonstrations, grazing platter workshops with Heavenly Graze and a cheese masterclass! Author of best-selling recipe book series 4 Ingredients, Kim McCosker will be cooking up a feast at 10:30am and 1:30pm, using recipes from her latest book Celebrations. Watch and learn simple, easy ways to cater for events, taste-test some of the incredible meals and you could even take home a free cook book with 100 to be given away on the day.

Bring the kids in to watch the live 40-minute magic show with the popular magician Nickleby, on the main stage at 12pm. Watch his highly entertaining show as he surprises and delights the children with his tricks and illusions including a special meet and greet with his pet rabbit! The show is free but you’ll need to grab the kids a free ticket online to secure a seat.

Let the littles play outside on Cheeky Little Monkeys free pop-up soft play station, plus free fun lawn games for the big kids, free face painting, Frozen Sunshine taste testing, popcorn, balloons, party styling sessions and more!

Learn about the culture, stories and ancient history from the Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) people that was passed down through the elders over the generations with interactive storytelling sessions, learn indigenous art techniques and take part in traditional song and dance depicting some of the ancient creation stories.

Stockland Baringa is located on the corner of Baringa Drive and Edwards Terrace, adjacent to the Baringa State Primary School, in the heart of Baringa the first suburb of Aura on the Sunshine Coast. The centre is easily accessed and offers over 300 convenient car parks.
