THINGS TO DO: Local activities for mums and kids

01 October 2018

Looking for fun activities for you and the kids?

mudputty is a new online community that helps you easily find and book classes and activities on the Coast.

We chat to mudputty founder, Raeleen Kaesehagen, about what mudputty offers and how it saves you time.

Can you tell us about the activities available on mudputty?

We have a wonderful range of activities and classes for kids and mums. For kids there is swimming, surfing, music, dance, yoga, fitness groups, language courses, and art workshops. Mums can enjoy classes in art and wine, pottery, craft, yoga, pilates, fitness, health and wellbeing, and parenting workshops. There are also courses to support a career change or training, such as horticulture and Reiki. Plus, mums and kids can take classes together. You can bring your kids along to many activities, including yoga, mum and bub fitness classes, dance, art and music lessons, Montessori groups, and edible gardening workshops.

How does mudputty help to support mums?

mudputty is a huge time saver. It offers a central place to discover and book the activities you enjoy most, while taking the stress out of managing logistics like payments and schedules. You can search classes by location, age, time, and class category – so it’s easy to find the right activity near you. You can book online, get reminders, sync classes with your calendar, and message the class host. Everything is at your fingertips.

What inspired you to create mudputty?

As a busy mother of two, I’m always looking for fun activities for the kids, my family and me. However, I noticed that the best activities were often the hardest to find.

I’d spend hours searching for the perfect class, but often come up empty-handed. Later, I’d hear about an amazing class through word-of-mouth, and wonder why nobody else knew about it. With mudputty, I wanted to create a central place where mums could easily discover the best activities without any hassles.

Where can people join mudputty?

Go to to discover and book a great range of kids and women’s classes on the Sunshine Coast. It’s free to join and easy to use!
