New Beachside Park in Bokarina

Stockland has just opened its brand new Village Park at its Bokarina Beach community.

The opening of the new park also coincides with the Bokarina Beach lifeguard tower being manned for the first time.

The new multi-functional park in Bokarina comprises two main areas – the Plaza and the Playspace – and a large open parkland area.

Drawing upon the surrounding landscape for its coastal dune character, the Plaza is set to become a heartland for local events. Situated in close proximity to the ocean and the future retail and cafe precinct, the Plaza’s barbeques, shelters, and a variety of seating areas will serve the community all year round.

The Playspace provides adventurous play elements such as slides, swings and climbing walls, as well as a lounge net hang out all connected by a rope bridge. Kids will love the button-activated water misting system on the main raised deck to keep them cool come hot summer days.

Extending from the Plaza and the Playground areas is the parkland – an expansive green and shaded space suitable for a range of community activities from family picnics to social sporting matches, immediately adjacent to the coastal path.

Matthew Byrne, Senior Economic Development Manager at Stockland, said the carefully designed playground would allow residents and locals, big and small to gather, relax and play.

“The new Village Park is a great outdoor community space and a fantastic addition for the Bokarina Beach community to embrace the coastal lifestyle that its location offers,” Mr Laner said.

“With beach access from our community to Bokarina Beach, the new lifeguard service will play an important role in keeping both residents and holiday-makers safe.”
