NEWS: Let's not forget Pink is human too!

10 August 2018

Pink has had to cancel four shows in Sydney, so to say she is having a tough week is an understatement. Along with being hospitalised, Pink has had to deal with backlash from media and fans alike, but there is one important thing people are forgetting... she is human. She is like the rest of us. We get sick, we call in sick to work, Pink gets sick, she has to call in sick to work, which just happens to be three major concerts, performing in front of thousands of fans. It is unfortunate she become severely ill but as we all know, the gastric virus doesn't care if we have commitments, it just wants to go through the body and get out as quickly and severely as it can!

As Pink put it, "... I don't just stand in front of a microphone and sing. I flip, dance, fly, harness, silk and scream my way through a shit show of awesomeness (no pun intended). Therefore, I need to be physically healthy and well in order to perform this show. I think all of you deserve to see me at my best."

If Pink was to stand in front of a microphone and sing, concert goers would be complaining she didn't put on good show, that it was crap and a waste of money, so at this time it's a lose-lose situation for everyone. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand people have spent their hard earned money on tickets and have flown or driven a long way to see her but again life happens and some things are out of our control.

Pink has confirmed she has left hospital and will continue her tour however she has given paparazzi a stern word of warning:

“Our next show will be Saturday, and until then I will be drinking green tea, and spending time with my kids,” she said.

“That’s a warning to paparazzi, you might actually see me walking upright outside of my hotel room cage with two little children, and another warning: I might even smile.

“Not too much, though. I’ll try to control the smiling.”

Pink’s local touring company Live Nation today announced the rescheduled dates for her tour are as follows:

Friday 3 August will now be on Friday 24 August

Monday 6 August will now be on Monday 17 September

Tuesday 7 August will now be on Tuesday 18 September

Thursday 9 August will now be on Wednesday 19 September

The Brisbane performance scheduled for Thursday 23 August will now be on Wednesday 22 August to allow for the rescheduled Sydney dates.

Ticketholders will not receive new tickets — simply present your current ticket for entry to the new date. If you can’t make the new date, you can exchange your ticket for an earlier Sydney date while availability permits. Refunds can be obtained by submitting a request via Ticketek

Pink is an amazing performer and mother and performs more shows in Australia than any other artist, so wish her well and if you do have a chance to see her, you're one of the lucky ones because you know it will be the greatest show on Earth!
