9-12 Years

In a beautiful tale of kindness and hope, Mr Hooper and his cat travel around searching for hearts and making moon-cream ice creams for people who are sad.

In a visual story that children will connect with and understand instantly, the story begins with muted illustrations that depict an atmosphere devoid of love as the Cat and Mr Hooper discover that the heart of the world is in need of healing.

As kindness is spread however, colour infiltrates the book via the images of ice creams and blankets, representing the love that is being shown.

The Cat With the Coloured Tail is recommended for readers aged 9 years and over, and is a thought-provoking and gentle reminder that kind deeds, big or small, can lead to beautiful change.
