NEWS: An action-packed line-up planned for Westfield Coomera's grand opening

03 October 2018

The wait is finally over as Westfield Coomera prepares to open the doors to its $470 million development on Thursday 11th October.

To celebrate the opening, from Thursday 11th October to Sunday 14th October, Westfield Coomera will pull out all stops with four full days of festivities, including live music, retailer offers, roaming entertainment, art installations, complimentary fresh food carts, pop-up activations, homewares giveaways, night time fireworks and more.

Customers will be able to explore the new centre including the dining and entertainment precinct, shop the carefully curated offering, taste their way through the casual and market-style fresh food destinations and relax in The Backyard, a first-of-its-kind park concept catering to the warm weather and active lifestyle of the community.

A collaboration with Bleach* Arts Festival will see a line-up of live music headlined by local Gold Coast touring artists, kicking off on launch day and continuing for three-months.

Once customers are done enjoying the live music they can sample a selection of premium cheese and charcuterie, bespoke sugary delights and cool down with custom popsicles. And if that isn’t enough, visitors can enjoy $5 brekky until 11am at Beach House Bar & Grill, $10 burritos all day at Barbacoa Mexican Taqueria, 500 free hot dogs from 11am at The Bavarian, plus free coffee in-store at Soul Origin.

The little ones will also be entertained with a LEGO Immersive Zone in centre court, giant games, toy giveaways, along with face painting, balloon artists and glitter artists.

While at night, customers can immerse themselves in a spectacular community lantern installation by LightnUp, who have created a canopy of lanterns inspired by light and shadow.

Thursday through to Saturday, will end with a bang, with a dazzling fireworks display that the whole family can enjoy.

Whether you are after a fun family day out, your latest fashion fix, or a place to have a meal with friends, come down and explore everything on offer at Westfield Coomera.
