Planning entertainment for the kids during school holidays is always a parent’s biggest challenge. You want to keep the kids active and off screens, but you don’t want to spend the weekly budget on a camp or spend hours searching for options that suit each child.
Solving the school holiday dilemma for parents across the region this Spring, the City of Logan is hosting the ImagiNation Children’s Festival, bringing the best holiday fun together in one place.
There’s 16 days of free or low-cost fun for children 0–12 years including a ninja obstacle course, muddy wonderland, cooking, dancing, art and craft and even how to make robots work.
With over 170 activities on offer, from arts, culture and cooking, to sport, adventure, technology and more… there’s something for everyone down the M1 these spring school holidays.
It all kicks off on Saturday 22 September with a free kids' concert and activities at Kingston Butter Factory from 10am–2pm with performances by the Beverley Parker Academy of Dance, Renata Jayne, Kangagang and fun activities with Sparky Do Dah.
Festival highlights include a Muddy Wonderland on 29 and 30 September, where kids can slip and slide their way into the realms of Mud World. Discover a Muddy Monsterland, Village of Mud, Mud Mania, Mud Slide and The Great Muddy Mountain Range.
Or if you prefer something a little cleaner, there is Under the Trees at Mayes on Friday October 5, where you can enjoy free family fun exploring, creating and connecting with nature.
Other actvities include:
Kids… Imagine a place where you can row the river one day, climb rock walls the next, zoom in a go-kart on Thursday and round out the week creating beautiful art and craft before heading to a kid’s muddy wonderland dance party on Saturday.
Mums and Dads… Imagine a place where you can plan your school holiday fun on one easy step.
