Thanks to the portability of iPads and other small devices, kids’ headphones are becoming an essential piece of kit for every busy family.
Whether it’s a long road trip or simply allowing your children to watch their own movies in peace, a good pair of headphones is top of the packing list.
The market is chock-full with a range of kids’ headphones today. One of the latest to hit the shelves is the new JBL Junior headphone range. We put these funky headphones to the test with our littlest of listeners to see how they stack up.
Specifically designed to comfortably fit a child’s head, the soft-padded adjustable headband and cushioned ear cups are super comfy. The headphones easily fold up to make them nice and portable for road trips, and the solid design means they are built to withstand the toughest of users (even our heavy-handed 5-year-old couldn’t do any damage).
A favourite feature of the headphones definitely has to be JBL Safe Sound that ensures volume maxes out at 85dB. With this in place parents can rest assured that little ears are always protected from the audio ever being turned too loud.
The range is designed for ages 3-10, and comes in three funky colour combinations. A sticker pack is also included for kids to personalise their headphones.
The JBL Junior headphone range comes in a wired and Bluetooth set. We tested the Bluetooth version and the lack of cables made them a big hit, meaning kids can get on with what they are doing without getting tangled in wires.
The wireless headphones are built with kid-friendly buttons making them super-easy to operate. They also feature a quick charge function, giving the headphones an hour of playback after just ten minutes of charging… a seriously brilliant function for busy parents.
