Though autumn is underway, there's an Endless Summer happening at Robina Town Centre throughout March, thanks to a new partnership with Surf Life Saving Queensland.
As a city with over 50 kilometres of shoreline and approximately 300 days of sunshine each year, Robina Town Centre is paying tribute to the Gold Coast’s idyllic coastal lifestyle as part of its new Endless Summer campaign. The partnership is set to shine a light on the importance of surf safety while also celebrating those who protect our beaches – the surf lifesavers.
The partnership was launched ahead of SLSQ’s 2019 Queensland Youth State Championships, with the state’s hitting Broadbeach for the 2019 Queensland Senior State Championships from 15th – 17th March.
With over 20 surf life saving clubs across Gold Coast beaches, Robina Town Centre will be proudly waving its own club colours this March, launching a pop-up Robina Surf Life Saving Club in-centre until 31st March.
Shoppers will have the chance to engage in a series of surf-related activations, and meet and greet key members from the surf life saving community.
Complete with its very own surf shack, lifeguard tower, sun loungers and surfboards in the club colours of pink and blue, Robina Surf Life Saving Club will pop up outside Myer on Ground Level.
Celebrating an Endless Summer, locals can learn essential beach skills such as how to spot a rip; test their surf knowledge to win a share in $30,000 worth of prizes from Robina’s custom-built vending machine. On weekends from 11.00am – 3.00pm shoppers can even experience what it’s like to be caught in a rip using the latest VR technology.
Come Thursdays, a Treat Yo’Self Pop-Up Station (located outside Seed) will be activated from 5.00 – 9.00pm, treating shoppers to a selection of tasty eats and beverages (complimentary, of course!) served by Robina Surf Life Saving Club members.
A trip to the ‘beach’ isn’t complete without a token selfie, so Robina Town Centre is also providing free Selfies by the Shoreline outside Myer, complete with beach-inspired get-up and props set against a beach-inspired backdrop.
