NEWS: New state-of-the-art child care centre opening in Mermaid Waters

19 September 2018

Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure is bringing its progressive, all-inclusive child care service to the Gold Coast, opening a brand new, purpose-built centre in Mermaid Waters in November.

Run by husband and wife team Lauren and Damian Hall, Sanctuary’s philosophy is one of working collaboratively with parents to ensure a child’s learning experience compliments their home life.

“By building these relationships with families we can better understand each child’s needs,” explained Lauren. But, most importantly for parents, Sanctuary believes in providing absolutely everything a child needs each day. From music, art, dance and yoga classes, to all meals, nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding, hat, water bottle – all are provided, parents don’t need to worry about a thing.

“As a parent myself, I wanted to create the perfect centre that offered everything I needed!” explained Lauren. “Because you have to go to work, when you are with your children you should get to actually be with them… not spend time making lunchboxes, or running around doing mundane tasks. So, we aim to do a lot of that and provide balance, so busy parents get quality time with their children.”

With a very holistic approach to early education, play is at the centre of everything they do, and the programs are child initiated and led, encouraging the unique individual personality of each child in their care.

“Our goal is to create amazing environments which are engaging and fun, where each child can feel love and happiness whilst developing their intellectual, physical, social and cultural needs.”

The talented team that is designing and building Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure Mermaid Waters outdoor playscapes specialises in creating quality, custom-made playscapes for children, that promote imaginative and interactive play.

Everything is carefully selected for safety, durability and most of all – Play Value. The team uses a balanced combination of natural and synthetic elements to deliver play environments that offer a variety of experiences to explore.

The playscapes are created to give children a safe environment that fosters a sense of discovery and adventure – where they can create their own stories, build relationships, solve problems and refine motor skills.

The outdoor environments at Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure Mermaid Waters will include play fort, mud kitchen, sand play, sustainability gardens for vegetables and herbs, bike tracks, storytelling nooks, blackboard, log stepper, open cubby and so much more.

Places are filling fast for this sought-after early learning experience and Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure Family Packs are now being posted out to families who have already returned registration forms.
