SUMMARY:Dakota of the White Flats
DESCRIPTION:Dakota of the White Flats is an adaptation of the novel by award-winning author Philip Ridley. A high-action pulpy punk noir with snappy dialogue that snatches the classic coming-of-age adventure story out of the hands of a gang of boys\, and passes it to two loud\, unapologetic\, brave young women. \nDakota Pink is 13-years-old and afraid of nothing. She lives in a bleak housing complex on the edge of a polluted canal. Abandoned supermarket trolleys litter the streets and the oil slick water is filled with monstrous mutant eels. Dakota and her best friend Treacle discover a secret that propels them across the water to the Broken Glass Fortress on Dog Island. \nDelivered in electronica inflected neon and grime\, Dakota of the White Flats is a finely crafted narrative shot through with comedy\, horror\, immersive soundscape and live music. Directed by Ella Becroft\, with set design by John Verryt\, lighting by Rachel Marlow and composition by Eden Mulholland\, this fast-paced and electrifying show celebrates the resilience\, bravery and hope of young people in a changing world. \nFIND OUT MORE

SUMMARY:The Riddle of Washpool Gully
DESCRIPTION:The Riddle of Washpool Gully\nby David Morton – Dead Puppet Society \nFar beyond the outskirts of the big city\, near a tiny town that nearly everyone forgot\, lay a dry creek bed of no special significance. Once upon a time it had been called Washpool Gully. But the world had moved on from insignificant things\, and no one had time for dry creek beds. Except in Washpool Gully something was stirring. Shaken by the rumble of engines and darkening of the sky\, something long asleep had decided to wake up. \nCombining old-fashioned storytelling with contemporary puppetry and miniature sets\, The Riddle of Washpool Gully is a reimagined tale of Australian mythology about the incredible creatures that might still live in the uncharted corners of our vast country – brought to life by internationally acclaimed Dead Puppet Society (Peter and the Starcatcher\, Ishmael\, Holding Achilles\, The Wider Earth). \nAt QPAC from 10-21 Mach 2026. \nWEBSITE | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM    \n \n
