Ever wondered what happens at a Forest School?
Well now is your chance to find out!
Natureweavers Earth School is the Sunshine Coast’s award-winning forest school for children and families. Based in Black Mountain in the Noosa hinterland, WildKids is their weekly earth school program for children aged 3– 16 years.
Natureweavers children spend their day in wild space, learning in, with and from nature. Bushcraft, wilderness awareness skills, seasons and cycles, herbal wisdom and permaculture practices are learned through adventures, stories and crafts, with the intent to inspire earth stewardship in our children.
WildKids come to know their local land deeply, developing connections, experiential understanding and nature skills as well as experiencing the simple freedom of unstructured, extended periods of time playing in nature. A gentle rhythm guides the days, but the content is child-led, emergent and seasonal, enabled and extended by the some of the most highly experienced mentors and nature pedagogues in Australia.
The WildKids program runs Tuesday – Friday from 9am–2pm during term time and is open to all children.
