To celebrate the arrival of LEGO Bluey™ sets, the LEGO Group is recreating one of the show’s most iconic moments – this time, in brick form on Brisbane’s South Bank.
Brisbane families, get ready for a Bluey adventure – in brick form! To celebrate the launch of the brand new LEGO® Bluey™ sets, the LEGO Group and BBC Studios have teamed up to create a brick-tastic event: the LEGO Bluey Ice Cream Pop-Up, live at Brisbane’s South Bank from 3–8 June.
Fans can step into the world of Bluey with a playful tribute to the Heeler family’s ice cream trip to Brisbane’s South Bank, as seen in the episode ‘Ice Cream’ in season two of the beloved animated TV series.
In the ‘Ice Cream’ episode, Bluey and Bingo want a lick of each other’s ice cream. But they are so focused on making sure each lick is fair; they don’t notice their ice creams are melting.

What’s in store at the Bluey LEGO ice-cream pop-up?
Visitors can build their own LEGO brick ice cream scoops—think Strawberry, Mango, Double Choc or Rainbow—and explore a cute, picnic-style play zone perfect for a family chill-out. Don’t miss the chance to snap a pic with life-sized LEGO builds of Bluey (made from a whopping 29,224 bricks!) and Bingo (5,306 LEGO DUPLO bricks). The pair took 190 hours to build—now that’s dedication!
There’s something for every age group, too. Kids aged 4+ can dive into creative building fun, while littlies aged 1.5–3 can toddle into the LEGO DUPLO zone, specially designed with safe bricks and even a bit of dancing thrown in.
Justine McKenny from LEGO ANZ said, “We are so excited to bring the world of Bluey to life in such a playful, fun way and there’s no better place to do it than in Bluey’s hometown of Brisbane.”
Scott Modra from BBC Studios agrees: “Seeing Bluey’s world in LEGO is a true delight. It’s a perfect way for families to connect and create joyful memories together.”
