For two weeks in the mid-year holidays the streets of Miami come alive with visual art of all forms.
From epic new murals, to gallery nights, outdoor exhibitions and laneway live music, Surface Festival is a celebration of art & creatives here on the Gold Coast.
FENCE LINE
Ride, roll or stroll through the streets of Miami as Surface Festival’s pop-up public fence line exhibition showcases hundreds of pieces of art over 5km of residential front yards.
KOOL KIDS MIAMI EXHIBITION
An exhibition showcasing artwork by children of Kool Kids Miami, showcasing their creativity and imagination. This one-night event on Thursday 26 June celebrates the youngest artists contributing to the Gold Coast arts scene.
SLICK SURFACES
Kicking off SURFACE and the school holidays with an epic kids day out on Sunday 29 June with a workshop program from Rock N Slide skateboarding, DJ Skool, create mini art skateparks. Plus live music & urban art activities. Sticker up your board & roll into Marketta’s laneway.
SANTA CRUZ SKATE DAY
Roll down to Pizzey Park on Monday 30 June for a social skate sesh with the pro-skaters of Santa Cruz Skateboards. Catch local urban artists in action with cans & brushes. Santa Cruz giveaways + Pro-skaters + Live Art + BBQ + Refreshments
