Devcon Property Group and Stockland have officially broken ground on the highly anticipated SunnyKids House, with all proceeds from the upcoming auction to directly support children and families in need through SunnyKids.
This special sod turning marks the start of an inspiring community collaboration where industry leaders, local businesses, and trades come together to build a home – and a future – for vulnerable families on the Sunshine Coast.
“We’re proud to have secured some incredible sponsors through our strong network of trades, and we’re now on the right track to kick off the build. It’s an honour to partner with Stockland and SunnyKids on a project that not only highlights our dedication to the Sunshine Coast, but also reflects the outstanding support from our trades and suppliers,” said Michael Kain, Managing Director of Devcon Property Group.
“This project represents so much more than bricks and mortar — it’s a powerful example of what can be achieved when community and industry come together with heart. We’re incredibly grateful to Devcon and Stockland for their leadership and generosity, and we’re excited to see the build begin. Every stage of this home’s construction brings us one step closer to changing the lives of vulnerable children and families on the Coast,” said Kathleen Hope, CEO of SunnyKids.
The auction is planned for early 2026. Follow Devcon and SunnyKids’ social media for sneak peeks and progress updates.
