Painted Rocks Bring Sweet Surprises to Scarborough

If you’ve spotted colourful little rocks tucked away in Scarborough playgrounds lately, you’re not imagining things. Local favourite Miss Sprinkles Gelato is behind the playful project, adding a sprinkle of fun to springtime outings.

“We’ll be hiding these rocks as the weather warms up and the playgrounds get busier,” said the owner of Miss Sprinkles. “It’s our way of bringing a little extra joy to playtime in Scarborough.”

Simply find a rock, bring it into Miss Sprinkles Gelato and swap it for a free ice cream.

The fun doesn’t stop with the kids, either. Miss Sprinkles is about creating a sweet and colourful place for everyone — whether it’s grandparents on an afternoon stroll, couples on a date night, or families grabbing a tasty treat. On the menu you’ll find house-made gelato and sorbets alongside churros, shakes, coffees, açai bowls, cakes and even a wall of lollies.

“A visit to Miss Sprinkles is always full of fun… there’s always an excuse to swing by!”

Keep an eye on Miss Sprinkles’ socials for clues about where the next painted rocks will appear — and maybe score yourself a springtime scoop!
