Helping tweens build confidence and connection

Local wellbeing coach, Lisa O’Donoghue, is offering a unique opportunity on the Gold Coast for girls aged 8 to 12 years to strengthen their confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence through hands-on workshops.

At The Thought Edit, Lisa guides girls through essential topics, including resilience, self-esteem, managing anxiety, effective communication, navigating big emotions, and practising mindfulness and gratitude, typically offered as an eight-week after-school program.

With many parents and children seeking greater flexibility, Lisa now also runs two to three-hour weekend workshops. And, for the first time, an immersive two-day school holiday program.

The 2-day Fantastic Friendships workshop helps tweens identify healthy friendships, navigate conflict, steer clear of drama and gossip, and communicate boundaries respectfully. Each session is designed to be practical, interactive and fun, giving girls valuable tools that they can use immediately in everyday life.

Lisa said her goal is to support young girls during this pivotal stage. “I want girls to feel confident and armed with strategies to see them through their tween years and beyond, as emotionally healthy as possible,” she said.
