Moreton Bay School Holidays
Summer fun is just around the corner for City of Moreton Bay’s youngsters, as they get ready to dive into a host of exciting activities these school holidays.
Parents will be spoiled for choice with books, bots, bugs and beat making just a fraction of what’s on offer for kids and teens over the break.
Storytime, a popular year-round staple in the City’s libraries that introduces the world of reading for two to five-year-olds, will take on a festive theme in December. While the pages are turning on Christmas tales, Moreton Bay’s libraries will also be cooking up a storm with airfryer cookie baking classes for children between five and 11 years. Adding a dash of dazzle will be a magic show when Super Steph sparkles with her fairy and pirate- themed magic.
Offering hands-on fun and learning through creative exploration are Imaginariums, which offer people of all ages the ability to let their imaginations run wild in a variety of interactive themed settings at Bribie Island Seaside Museum, Pine Rivers Heritage Museum and Redcliffe Museum.
Further north, Bribie Island Seaside Museum is planning a splash of excitement as Ocean Life Education hosts a hand-on workshop allowing youngsters to touch and explore real sea creatures, discover wild ocean facts, meet Ole the ocean-cleaning turtle and much more.
And speaking of water, Moreton Bay’s pools are expecting a bumper summer season as the mercury rises.
