Brisbane is set to come alive with colour, culture and celebration as BrisAsia Festival returns in February 2026 with an expanded program designed to delight all ages.
Running from 13–22 February 2026, the much-loved festival will present 28 events over 10 days, spanning 17 Brisbane suburbs and featuring the work of more than 350 artists. From lunar parties and live performances to skate workshops and comedy, BrisAsia promises plenty for families to see, do and experience together.
This year marks the introduction of 10 brand-new events, including a Lunar New Year party at the Thomas Dixon Centre that fuses music and food, the inaugural BrisAsia Comedy Gala at Brisbane Powerhouse, vibrant street celebrations at Fish Lane, and youth-focused skate workshops at Bracken Ridge.

Fan favourites such as BrisAsia Dance Battles, the Sunnybank Lunar New Year Rooftop Party and Southside by Night will also return, ensuring the festival continues to offer a mix of familiar highlights and fresh experiences across the city.
Now in its 14th year, BrisAsia Festival celebrates Brisbane’s rich Asian cultural heritage, connecting communities through art, music, food and performance. In 2025, more than 20,000 people joined in the festivities, cementing BrisAsia as a key date on Brisbane’s cultural calendar.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the festival plays an important role in bringing people together.
“BrisAsia connects cultures across Brisbane and we’re proud to celebrate the people that make our city great,” he said. “With events right across the suburbs, many of which are free and affordable, BrisAsia reinforces our reputation as Australia’s lifestyle capital.”
Executive Producer Dr Anthony Garcia said the 2026 program balances tradition with contemporary creativity.
“This year’s program brings together traditional and contemporary Asian culture in ways that inspire, surprise and connect people,” he said. “It’s exciting to see ideas come to life and create experiences that truly celebrate community and creativity.”
