Clean Up for the Hatchlings

Clean up for the Hatchlings is a free event run by Sunshine Coast Council in collaboration with TurtleCare Sunshine Coast, ReefCheck Australia, SeaLife Trust and Kabi Kabi Peoples Aboriginal Corporation, inspiring our community to come together to help clean up Sunshine Coast beaches in preparation for the hatchling turtles.

Choose from 18 locations across the coast:
📍 Coolum (meet at BA 72)
📍 Point Arkwright (meet at BA 85)
📍 Marcoola (BA 104)
📍 North Shore (meet at the hut in park at end of North Shore Rd, Twin Waters)
📍 Cotton Tree Park (corner of Second Ave & the Esplanade)
📍 Mooloolaba Beach (BA 180 Arthur Parkyn Park BBQ shelter)
📍 Snorkel – Mooloolah River (La Balsa Park)
📍 Buddina (BA 201 – beachside of Pacific Blvd)
📍 Coopers Lookout Park (BA 224)
📍 Warana 1 (BA 232 – John Hotton Park)
📍 Warana 2 (BA 237 – Neisler Park)
📍 Bokarina (BA 241 – Satinbird Park)
📍 Wurtulla (BA 248 – Dorothy Anderson Park)
📍 Currimundi (park end of Buderim St)
📍 Dicky Beach (park at BA 267)
📍 Moffat Beach (Eleanor Shipley Park)
📍 Shelly Beach (Victoria Terrace car park)
📍 Happy Valley & Bribie Island North (BA 296)

What’s happening:

6am – 7.30am – Beach clean ups at various location from Coolum to Caloundra.

8am – 10am – Thank you celebration at Coopers Lookout Park on the south side of the Kawana Surf Club.
