Bloomin Good Swim

On Sunday 29 March 2026, the Sunshine Coast community will come together at Kawana Aquatic Centre for the inaugural Bloomin’ Good Swim, a full-day swimming festival raising funds for Bloomhill Cancer Care.
From 7:30am to 4:30pm, swimmers of all ages and abilities will take part in Aqua Aerobics, relay laps, fun races, challenges, entertainment, raffles, and the event’s Duck Ceremony — where hundreds of toy ducks float across the pool, symbolising hope for those affected by cancer. Teams of 4–10 swimmers can compete in a friendly relay while fundraising for a great cause.
The event aims to raise $20,000 to support people living with cancer on the Sunshine Coast. Prizes on the day include Raffles:
12 Months Gym Membership to Jetts Fitness Mooloolaba
Overnight Stay at Rydges South Bank Brisbane
Taylor McKeown Private Swim Academy Voucher
Prizes also for Highest Individual Fundraiser, Highest Team Fundraiser, and Best Themed Team
Olympian Taylor McKeown and marathon swimmer Susie Maroney, serving as event ambassadors, will be on pool deck throughout the day, encouraging swimmers and teams. Taylor also inviting her sister Olympic swimmer Kayla McKeown, and friend Jake Packard.
