Somerset Storyfest 2026
You are invited to join Somerset Storyfest for Australia’s largest children’s literature festival! Experience a new way of interactive learning with some of the best international and local authors.
This highly anticipated event will bring together over 30 of the country’s most renowned authors, illustrators, and artists, aiming to inspire both aspiring writers and passionate readers.
Throughout the festival, attendees can enjoy daily interactive sessions with talented authors, as well as book signings at the Book Shop. But the excitement doesn’t stop there – a series of exclusive public events is also designed to captivate and entertain. The standout events include the annual Prologue Party, Literary Lunch and Long Table Dinner.
Prologue Party
Monday 30 March 2026 | 5:30pm – 7:30pm
A fun filled evening for the whole family to celebrate reading and writing. The Prologue Party is a great opportunity to meet some of Australia’s best authors and illustrators.
Enjoy all the fun of the fair with games and activities. The festival bookshop will be open during this event.
Don’t forget to attend in your favourite book character costume and join in the Grand Parade at 6pm. See the sky light up with fireworks at 7:30pm.
