Affordable tutoring launches on the Sunshine Coast

No parent wants to see their child struggling at school. When you combine a fast-paced curriculum with large class sizes, it’s easy for them to get left behind. But finding affordable tutoring on the Sunshine Coast can be a challenge! This Queensland couple are on a mission to help!

“Tutoring is a fantastic way for students to catch up, keep up, and excel,” says McKeeley Makin, owner of Two Tutors.

“But finding the tutoring setup that works best for families can be time-consuming and frustrating, and finding affordable tutoring can be hard. Franchises can offer structured programs, but typically require multiple sessions per week. In reality, many students just need an hour of support for general homework and assessment tasks.”

When McKeeley and her partner first offered their affordable tutoring services to local Brisbane parents in 2021, they were inundated with enquiries and expanded their team after just two weeks. Together, they soon co-founded Two Tutors.

Over the past 5 years, McKeeley’s team has grown from two to many, allowing them to support students from Prep right through to Grade 12 across all subject areas. And in 2026, they’re expanding their services to the Sunshine Coast.

Offering one-on-one at-home sessions with a regular weekly tutor, they create a personalised, relaxed and enjoyable learning environment. Flexible scheduling is supported by the reliability and resources of a large team. All at an affordable $66-$77 per hour.

The results speak for themselves.

“On more than one occasion, a parent testimonial has brought me to tears,” McKeeley said.

“The impact of just one hour a week of additional support is mind-blowing.”
