Gold Coast’s Next Top Dogel
Gold Coast’s most adorable and anticipated dog event is back, bigger, bolder, and in a stunning new location, with entries now officially open for the 2026 Gold Coast’s Next Top Dogel.
Celebrating its sixth year, the popular community event will be held for the first time at Sanctuary Cove on the northern Gold Coast, marking an exciting new chapter for the fast-growing festival that attracts more than 1,000 attendees and over 200 four-legged entrants annually.
This free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, 15 August 2026 from 10am to 2.00pm, promising a full day of tail-wagging fun, including the ever-popular Harmony Early Education Grand Parade, where all pups in attendance can strut their stuff on the main stage, and the crowd-favourite Schulz Prestige Cars Dachshund Dash, featuring more than 50 energetic ‘dashies’ racing for glory.
From fashion-forward pups to talented tricksters, entrants will compete across a range of categories including Best Big Dog, Best Medium Dog, Best Small Dog, Best Groomed Dog, Best Dressed Dog, Cutest Puppy, Best Trick, and Best Owner & Dog
Costume.
There will be a lively program of stage activations, dog-themed market stalls, family entertainment including face painting, a dog “kissing booth,” and live music creating a festival atmosphere for all ages.
