Sunshine Plaza is set to become a winter school holiday hub for Sunshine Coast families, with a two-week line-up of hands-on activities, indoor adventures, movies, dining and waterfront experiences.
Headlining the program is Scoopies Slime Bar, a colourful sensory workshop running daily from 29 June to 12 July 2026, where children can mix, stretch and customise their own slime creations.
The activation joins a broader family-friendly offering at the centre, helping local parents make the most of the winter break with active play, wet-weather options, dining and entertainment in one convenient Maroochydore location.
This winter school holiday, Sunshine Plaza activities include:
- BCC Cinemas for the latest family films and school holiday releases
- Timezone for arcade games and classic family entertainment
- Red Lock Escape Rooms for puzzle-based group challenges
- VR Hero for immersive virtual reality gaming
- Next Level High Ropes for aerial adventure activities
- Plaza Pontoon paddle boat cruises along Cornmeal Creek
- Rush Adventureland for ninja course, climbing walls, dedicated toddler zone and cafe
- Sunshine Plaza’s waterfront dining precinct, with more than 20 cafés and restaurants for lunch, dinner, coffee or post-activity treats

Sunshine Plaza Marketing Manager Bianca Price said the offer at the centre allows local families to make the most of the winter school holidays without having to travel between multiple locations.
“School holidays can be a long stretch for Sunshine Coast parents, so we’re pleased to have a range of activities and experiences to keep children of all ages entertained in one easy location,” said Bianca.
