Dreamworld has unveiled the first details of its next major attraction, Lost Mine Mayhem, a near $20 million family adventure set to open in late 2027, transforming a much-loved family favourite into a completely reimagined expedition through the world of Rivertown.
Featuring a brand-new storyline, new ATV-style ride vehicles, and the immersive theming Dreamworld is now known for, Lost Mine Mayhem will take guests to the fringe of Rivertown and into a recently rediscovered underground gold store hidden deep beneath the valley.
The announcement marks the next chapter in Dreamworld’s ongoing transformation, building on the success of Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland, The Dreamworld Flyer, Rivertown, and King Claw.
A reinvention of a family favourite
Dreamworld CEO Greg Yong said Lost Mine Mayhem was much more than a refresh of a family favourite.
“This isn’t a refresh — it’s a reinvention, and a near $20 million reinvention at that. We’re creating a completely new experience with a new story, brand-new ATV-style ride vehicles, and the immersive theming Dreamworld is now known for.”

Guests become part of the adventure at Dreamworld
Rivertown’s Lost Mine Mayhem will take guests on an ATV expedition deep beneath the valley, where forgotten treasure lies hidden. When treasure raiders infiltrate the abandoned mine, guests become part of the adventure, joining the mission to uncover its secrets and secure what remains.
Inspired by classic treasure-hunting adventures, the attraction will feature immersive storytelling, ancient chambers, hidden passages, and detailed theming designed to expand the world of Rivertown.
Scheduled to open in late 2027, Lost Mine Mayhem is the latest chapter in Dreamworld’s ongoing transformation and investment in new guest experiences.
