SWELL Sculpture Festival
Experience Queensland’s largest outdoor sculpture exhibition as SWELL Sculpture Festival returns to Currumbin Beach from 11–20 September 2026. Set along the stunning ocean walkway from Currumbin Beach to Flat Rock, this much‑loved festival showcases over 80 large‑scale contemporary sculptures created by local, national and international artists .
Families can wander the beachfront, discovering awe‑inspiring artworks that spark curiosity, creativity and conversation. Beyond the main exhibition, SWELL offers pop‑up displays across the Gold Coast, the SWELL Smalls Gallery, and a vibrant cultural program at SWELL Fringe in Wallace Nicoll Park and Kids Elements in Lenn Wort Park – perfect for young creatives who love hands‑on fun and imaginative experiences.
Stay a little longer and enjoy unique festival experiences including guided twilight walks, live music, comedy, masterclasses, artist talks, and artist‑led workshops – all designed to bring families closer to the art and the stories behind it.
