The Big Dig Treasure Hunt
The Rotary Club of Caloundra is presents The Big Dig, a pirate-themed family fun day at Bulcock Beach planned for Sunday 6 September 2026 from 9am to 12pm.
Father’s Day provides a special opportunity to celebrate the important role fathers, grandfathers and father figures play in our lives.
The Big Dig has been created as a fun, active and memorable experience where children and grandchildren can spend quality time with their dads and granddads while sharing in the excitement of a beachside treasure hunt. Participants are encouraged to dress as pirates.
A designated digging area will be available where participants will search for hidden treasure tokens buried in the sand. Every discovery brings excitement, and best of all, every participant will receive a prize.
Funds raised through the event will be distributed by the Rotary Club of Caloundra to support local charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations across the Sunshine Coast.
