This September school holidays, local charity SunnyKids is teaming up with NRL star Moses Mbye and ADAPT to deliver a dynamic youth clinic across the Sunshine Coast.
Designed for boys and girls aged 10 to 15 with an interest in sport, the SunnyKids ADAPT clinics offer an affordable, high-energy day out that balances athletic training with vital mental wellbeing education.
Running from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, each clinic pairs three on-field skills sessions with indoor team-building, healthy lifestyle discussions, and a dedicated wellbeing module delivered by SunnyKids. The curriculum focuses on building emotional resilience, teamwork, and respect, grounded in core values of honesty, compassion, and ambition.
NRL veteran Moses Mbye said the initiative is about empowering the next generation far beyond the scoreboard.
“This program is about more than just footy. It’s about giving kids the tools to build confidence, respect others, and make positive choices in their everyday lives,” Moses said.
SunnyKids CEO Kathleen Hope emphasised the importance of accessible early intervention.
“By creating a safe, engaging environment where kids can build confidence and learn about healthy relationships, we are investing in stronger futures for our community,” Kathleen said.
For parents, the structured day provides total peace of mind while keeping kids active, supervised, and engaged.
To ensure every family can participate, clinics are capped at just $25 per child.
