Plantapalooza
Brisbane’s green thumbs can stock up for spring at Plantapalooza, with an expanded selection of indoor and outdoor plants, succulents, herbs, veggie seedlings, seasonal flowers, pots and garden supplies, alongside local nurseries, growers and horticulture experts.
Held alongside the Saturday Fresh Market, visitors can make a morning of it, wandering through more than 100 market stalls filled with fresh produce, flowers, deli goods, meats, cheeses, baked treats and homewares, with breakfast and live music in the food court from 6am to 12 noon.
There’s plenty for families too, with a free wildlife show, jumping castle, face painting and Little Garden Growers, where kids can get their hands dirty planting their own seedlings.
With $2 entry and an undercover venue, Plantapalooza offers an easy spring Saturday out for garden lovers, families and anyone keen to bring a little more greenery home.
