Immersive kid-friendly light show to transform Currumbin

Forget everything you know about light shows. Astra Lumina Gold Coast- coming to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary – is no ordinary walk in the park. It’s an otherworldly journey where families can explore the magic of the stars and nature intertwined in a symphony of light and sound.

Launching on March 5, 2025, Astra Lumina Gold Coast will transform the natural beauty of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary into a cosmic wonderland to explore by night. Created by Moment Factory, the internationally acclaimed multimedia studio behind spectacular productions for Billie Eilish, Madonna, and Disney, this immersive experience marks the first and only Lumina Enchanted Night Walk in the Southern Hemisphere.

Designed to spark imagination for all ages, Astra Lumina is part of a series of Lumina Enchanted Night Walks. These shows have dazzled audiences in cities like Los Angeles, Seattle, and Philadelphia. The Gold Coast installation will use immersive projections, lighting, and soundscapes to create a celestial journey along a curated trail. The trail winds its way through Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s natural bushland landscape. It is separate from its wildlife experience, connecting visitors with the stars and the natural world around them.
