Are you wondering where to watch the Olympics and Paralympics in Queensland? LIVE sites will be popping up across the state for families to enjoy free entertainment and catch all the action from Paris 2024.
Queenslanders will gather at locations for special events to support our Aussie athletes and mark our own ‘8-Years-To-Go’ milestone as hosts of the 2032 Games.
The LIVE sites will feature Nine Network big-screen Games telecasts as well as special events backing local athletes and inspiring future Olympians and Paralympians, including those who may compete on home soil in 2032.
So, don your Green and Gold and cheer on our Aussie athletes in Paris 2024 between 27-28 July and 6-8 September!
Where to watch the Olympics in Brisbane
South Bank will be the central hub and be a place where all Queenslanders can enjoy free coverage and entertainment every day of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, starting 26 July and 28 August, respectively.
Where to watch the Olympics on the Gold Coast
The Gold Coast will be a hub in the South East for Queenslanders to enjoy free broadcast coverage on 27 and 28 July and 6 to 8 September at Broadwater Parklands, Southport.
Where to watch the Olympics on the Sunshine Coast
Delivered by Sunshine Coast Council, in partnership with Queensland Government, the Sunshine Coast will be a hub for Queenslanders to enjoy free broadcast coverage at Jack Morgan Park at Coolum Beach on Saturday 27 July where you can cheer on the Aussie Boomers in their first Olympic Basketball Game.
Head to the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) Arena at Sippy Downs on Thursday 29 August where you watch the replay of the Paralympic Games opening ceremony, LIVE broadcast of Paralympic competition events, para sport come and try and a wheelchair rugby and basketball match.
Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee President Andrew Liveris said, “Queenslanders will be right behind their Olympic and Paralympic teams as they go for gold in Paris and it’s fantastic that so many local communities will be able to share in the excitement as part of Olympics and Paralympics LIVE sites. “The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be shared across Queensland, and these LIVE sites are just a taste of what’s in store in the years ahead as we celebrate sport together.”
Australian Paralympic Team co-captain Curtis McGrath agreed, adding, “It’s fantastic to know that our friends, families and fans will have the opportunity to cheer on the Australian Paralympic Team at Paralympics LIVE events around Queensland.
“I encourage everyone to get out to a Paralympics LIVE event or host a watch party to support our team as we compete in Paris.”
