Meet the all-star cast at Hooray for Hollywood

One of the biggest highlights? The chance to step into the spotlight with an incredible line-up of characters from across the Warner Bros. universe—perfect for kids (and grown-ups) who love a good photo moment.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road and meet your favourites from The Wizard of Oz™, including Dorothy, the Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion—plus a special appearance from Glinda the Good Witch. Over in Kids’ WB! Fun Zone, Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Daffy and Sylvester are ready for their close-up, while Tom and Jerry bring their classic cat-and-mouse chaos to life.

Superhero fans won’t be disappointed either. Keep an eye out for DC Super Heroes patrolling the park… but don’t be surprised if a few Super-Villains crash the party with some cheeky mischief. And for lovers of old-school Hollywood, a collection of classic characters will transport you straight back to the silver screen’s most glamorous era.

Still not convinced? Here’s what we thought

To truly get the experience first-hand, one of our team members recently went to check it out and came back raving.

Describing it as a “spectacular seasonal event”, Hooray for Hollywood adds a whole extra layer of fun to a standard Movie World visit, especially during the Easter school holidays. There are characters everywhere and plenty of opportunities to stop, snap photos and soak it all in.

What really stood out was the interaction. Every character we met (and we met quite a few!) took the time to engage with the kids, creating those little moments that make the day feel special. Even better? Staff are more than happy to take family photos on your phone, so everyone can actually be in the picture.

The entertainment line-up also delivers. The new Spy Chase Stunt Show was a clear highlight, with a high-energy mix of car and motorbike chases, live stunts and explosive special effects. The 4D experience at the Roxy Theatre remains a crowd favourite, and the Movie Magic Parade on Main Street is a must-see.

A few handy tips from our visit: download the Village Roadshow Theme Parks App to keep track of show times, arrive early to beat the ride queues and pack the essentials: water bottles, snacks, sunscreen and comfortable shoes. If you’ve got little ones, don’t forget swimmers for the Looney Tunes Splash Zone. And make sure your phone is fully charged… you’ll need it.

Shows to see (and where to see them)

From toe-tapping musicals to high-energy stunt action, the entertainment line-up is packed, making it easy to fill an entire school holiday day without ever hearing “I’m bored”.
